The reunion of the old Wofford Witch gang was held at Ashley and Carolyn Carder's farm on Saturday, September 24th. It was great to get everyone together for the first time in many years. Attending were Dr. Dan Olds and his wife Betty from Spartanburg, SC, Kevin Hawkins and his friend George from the Netherlands, and his friend Jeff Shearsmith from Spartanburg, Michael Senterfeit and his daughter Rachel and son Nicholas, of Columbia, SC, Worth and Marie Burns of Columbia, SC, Mark Volmer of Columbia, SC, Bill Knott of Irmo, SC, and Jeff Moffitt of Tookiedoo, SC. We enjoyed just sitting around chatting and visiting. Since Worth had the most experience with plugging in the original Wofford Witch, he was given the honor of plugging in and turning on the reincarnated Witch. Several folks logged into the Witch and did some various things, and Kevin mounted the old 1978 JEFF disk and poked around a little. We talked about old times a bit, and then enjoyed a meal of grilled pork loin, grilled chicked, squash casserole, lima beans, cabbage, stuffed potatoes, homemade bread, custard pie, apple pie, cherry cheesecake, chocolate pudding, pound cake, Beacon Iced Tea, and a few other items. After supper we sat on the patio and visited until the wee hours.
Maybe this will be an annual event!
