Subject: GAME:ADVENT bug fixed Posted By: Ashley Time Posted: 3/14/2004 12:10:59 PM
Michael Senterfeit's daughter Rachel has been playing ADVENTure and found a bug in the program. She could not get past the grate even though she had found the keys and unlocked it. I compared my old printout of the version we ran at Wofford with the Basic-Plus version that was sent to me last year Chuck Craynor, former student at A.I. Dupont High School, and member of Project Delta. It turns out that there were a few changes in the Wofford version that were not in Chuck's version. I updated Chuck's version to include the differences that were in the Wofford version and it now works fine. If anyone wants to try their hand at the first interactive fiction game, the grandaddy of all those kinds of games, the ancestor of Zelda, Super Mario Brothers, Zork, Dungeon, and many other similar games, log on to the Witch and RUN GAME:ADVENT. I've actually played it a little and it's still fun after 25 years.

The WITCH has been brought back to life for you by Kevin, the original wizard.
